final presentation
Cisco U is a personalized online learning platform intended to prepare
people to have the knowledge they need to acquire new certifications.
Our focus on this project was to take the desktop learning platform and
adapt it for a mobile platform, while also adding new features that
specifically cater to the mobile learning experience.
User Group
We focused on one of Cisco’s user personas: a young adult who is new to their
professional career and is looking to gain new skills or improve their current skills.
We chose this persona because it was most similar to our interviewees, and it
integrates well into the idea of Cisco U mobile. Since these people are employed
and commuting to work, they have a bit of downtime during their commute that
could easily be used for mobile learning.
My Personal Goals
improve professional communication skills
improve UI design skills

Final Design Overview
This feature allows the user to visualize their study goals for the week to help them effectively manage their time. Color-coding aids organization of goals.
Weekly view
My team and I created multiple concepts for different features, including Study Concepts
the Home page, the Course Home, Goal Setting, and Q&A. I helped champion the Goal
Setting section of the app.
Calendar view
Allows the user to set an end date for completing their course. This can help them see if they are on track to meet their goal.
Goal Setting
This feature facilitates creating a study plan for the user.
It helps make learning achievable by allowing the user to set concrete goals that work for their schedule.
